Private Group Bookings in 2026
Private group bookings are currently available in a more limited capacity as the studio moves into a slower season this year. Through autumn and winter, we’ll primarily be offering handbuilding and pottery painting private workshops, perfect for birthdays, hens parties, baby showers, team events, and meaningful gatherings.
Wheel throwing private bookings will return later in the year once I’m back from maternity leave. If you’d love to celebrate or gather creatively with your group, please get in touch.
The Details:
Your private group workshop will usually take 2 - 2.5 hours. During this time you'll have the studio exclusively to yourselves and are more than welcome to bring drinks and food to share while you create. We will provide platter boards and glassware.
There are 3 different workshops you can choose from for your private booking.
When getting in contact to book, let us know your approx. group size, what workshop you'd like and some dates/times that would work best for you, and we can go from there.
Option 1
Wheel Throwing
Dive into the art of wheel throwing in the serenity of our studio. For this workshop you'll spend time making different shapes on the pottery wheel. Then you'll get to choose your favourite piece which we will trim and glaze in your chosen glaze colour.
Option 2
Handbuilding
Discover the tactile joy of hand building with clay. For this workshop you'll get to explore the versatility of clay, creating a form of your choice, from personalised mugs to flower vases, tea-light houses and more.
Hand Building is a slower more meditative way of playing with clay and allows you to create bigger and more unique forms as a novice potter.
Option 3
Painting Pottery
Personalise our pottery items with your artistic touch! Choose from an array of our handcrafted pieces, from mugs and bowls, to vases and travel cups, and immerse yourself in the creative process. We'll provide everything you need, from brushes to paints, to bring your vision to life. Once your artwork is complete, we'll carefully fire and glaze it for you.
Group Bookings
The Meadow and Wild studio is a creative haven, where memorable experiences come to life. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, team-building with colleagues, or simply gathering with friends for a unique experience, our private functions offer an array of pottery-inspired activities.
We recommend wheel throwing workshops be two hours for small groups (4-6 people), and up to three hours for larger groups (7 -12 people). This is so you get enough time either on the wheel or with the tudor. We only have 6 wheels in the studio, however, we can still do wheel throwing workshops for larger groups as over the three hours all people will get to have three turns on the wheel!
The price for our workshops includes the use of our beautiful space, a coffee or tea on arrival, clay, tools, aprons, glaze, and firings. You are welcome to bring any platters, food, or drinks (we will supply platter boards and glassware). And after three to four weeks, your lovely pieces will be ready for collection.
Prices:
Wheel Throwing Workshops
- $85pp for groups of 4-7
- $75pp for groups 8-12
Handbuilding Workshops
$85pp for 2 hours, for up to 14 people
However, if you have something in particular you'd like your whole group to make, the price can range from $75 - $95 depending on what you decide to make (smaller mugs, jewellery dishes and spoon rests will be cheaper than bigger vases and fruit bowls)
Pottery Painting Workshops
For groups 4-12, $65pp for 2 hours
