Courses in 2026

Our Beginner Pottery Courses running now will be the final courses for the first half of the year. As I move into this next season of pregnancy and maternity leave, I’ll be stepping back from regular teaching for a while.

Over winter, the studio will be running in a gentler rhythm, with Open Studio sessions continuing and any additional offerings shared as they’re confirmed. Wheel-based courses are expected to return later in the year, likely in spring.

Courses at Meadow & Wild

Our 'Wheel Foundation Courses' are once week for six weeks, and are designed to cultivate foundation skills, like shaping different forms of pottery on the wheel. As you delve into the world of ceramics, you'll learn techniques like centering, pulling up, shaping cups and bowls, and begin to explore glazing.

Elevate your pottery journey with our 'Beyond Basics: Intermediate Wheel Course'. Delving into the intricacies of shaping clay into larger and more diverse pottery forms. In this course you'll discover more about surface decoration, and clay recycling, enriching your understanding of the pottery process.

In our 'Hand-building Foundations Course' you’ll get to unwind in the serene M+W studio, exploring the versatility of hand-building techniques. You'll be crafting vases, mugs, and platters while learning 3 different hand-building styles, creating a range of unique pieces to take home.
